Guaranteed Purity

Incorporating the patented 'cyclonic' vapour trap, the Calypso produces the very highest quality distilled water free from impurities including inorganics,organics,micro-organisms and pyrogens. The 'cyclonic 'effect created by the unique vapour trap eliminates all vapour borne droplets ensuring there is no carry over of impurities in the distillate.The resultant pyrogen free water is therefore at the highest purity-at all times

Purity is further assured through an all borosilicate glass construction and the use of durable, silica sheathed heating elements and high grade silicone rubber components.

Safe and Easy to Use

A high temperature cut-off protects the heaters in the event of water failure while operator safety is assured through totally enclosed glassware.For ease of cleaning, the Still is fitted with a boiler drain valve. Cleaning solution is simply introduced into the boiler via the constant level device - no dismantling is necessary.

The Calypso is supplied with a Reservoir Level Sensor which allows the Still to be used with a collection reservoir of the user's choice. The Still will automatically shut off safely ( heaters and water supply ) on a full reservoir and re-start automatically when water is drawn.

All models are bench or wall mountable and are supplied complete with all necessary connection hoses and wall brackets.

Pre-treated Feed Option

The Calypso Still is supplied ready for use on tap feed water supplies. If preferred however, a suitable pre-treated supply ( deionised, reverse osmosis or already distilled water ) may be supplied to the Still using the Pre-treated Feed Kit. In the pre-treated mode the already purified water is fed directly to the boiler while tap water is fed to the condenser for cooling purposes only.

Economy

For maximum economy, an automatic flow controller governs the rate of the cooling water consumption and allows the Still to be used efficiently over a wide tap water pressure range. In the treated feed mode the user can regulate the flow of treated water to the boiler as necessary.

Matching Collection Reservoir

The Calypso Still is offered with an optional matching Reservoir Tank which allows a reserve of up to 30 litres storage capacity. The attractive cabinet features an acrylic front cover with contents indicator. The Tank's polyethylene liner is fitted with a bacterial air filter, fast flow dispense tap, cleaning access cover and contents sight tube and provides a convenient and compact collection system. Automatic shut off is provided by the Still's controls. As water is drawn from the Reservoir Tank the Calypso Still will automatically re-start to replenish the Reservoir.

The Reservoir Tank may be bench or wall mounted.
